Study questions link between stress, weight gain

A new study suggests that stress might not be the main causative factor in weight gain.

A review of some 36 studies on the subject found only a modest association.

Some of the research focused on work stress, while others covered general life stress such as being overwhelmed by daily issues.

Overall, the report in the journal Obesity found no clear association between stress levels and weight gain.

For those studies that did find a connection, it seemed to be stronger in men than in women.
