He pulled over at U.S. 30 where he refused a breathalyzer test and told the deputy he didn't realize he was being followed and asked, "Can't you cut me a break?"
Driver leads police on 120 mph chase
November 4, 2010 (HANNA, Ind.) Jeffrey Bassett, 20, is charged with DUI, according to the Northwest Indiana Times.
The newspaper reports a LaPorte County deputy clocked Bassett at 73 mph on Indiana 39 just after 2 a.m. Sunday. Bassett allegedly sped up instead of pulling over and led police on a 2-mile pursuit at 120 mph through Hanna, Ind.
