Bush speaks at Union League Club

November 11, 2010 (CHICAGO)

Mayor Richard M. Daley welcomed Mr. Bush at the Union League Club Thursday morning. Appearing relaxed in a club chair, the former president answered questions about his memoir "Decision Points."

He explained why the book opens with his decision to quit drinking.

"I want somebody who reads the book to say, 'I can quit drinking, too. If George W. Bush can quit, I can quit,'" said Pres. Bush.

The next stop on Bush's national tour is Dayton, Ohio, where he'll attend a Veteran's Day observance and discuss parts of his book that deal with war and the military.
