Participants at "Skyrise Chicago" climbed the tower's 103 floors or hand-cycle the equivalent and all proceeds benefit the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.
Jeff Barnes was one of the climbers. Along with his brother and sister, and many friends formed "Team Brenda" in honor of their mother Brenda Barnes -- the former CEO of Sara Lee who stepped down from her post after suffering a stroke and was treated at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.
