The man now suspected of killing two young girls in north suburban Zion was sentenced Friday to five consecutive life sentences, plus 168 years, in Virginia.

Former Marine Jorge Torrez was convicted of a rape, robbery and abduction there.

DNA evidence allegedly links him to the stabbing deaths of Laura Hobbs and Krystal Tobias in 2005. He has not been charged in the case.

Laura's father, Jerry, spent five years in jail before the DNA evidence surfaced and charges against him were dropped.
