Groupon deal costing Navy Pier money

A lot of people love to save money with Groupon. But it's apparently costing Navy Pier and its annual Winter Wonderfest.

Navy Pier partnered with the Chicago-based discount website to offer Winter Wonderfest wristbands at half price. More than 7,500 people took advantage of the deal.

At this point, even though attendance is up 12 percent, revenue is down 8 percent for the annual event. Navy Pier still expected the Winter Wonderfest to turn a profit.
