The Chicago-based company is in full-swing right now, and Mrs. Prindables' Jenny Cueva and an expert chocolatier visited ABC7's Hungry Hound on Friday.
They've been working around the clock in Niles the past few weeks, getting their apples dipped and dressed for delivery to gourmet stores around town.
Mrs. Prindables has been cranking out their gourmet caramel apples for 25 years.
They start by immersing their apples in pure, homemade caramel, then coat them in a variety of ingredients including pecans, cashews, cookie pieces, and of course, a couple of different types of chocolate.
Their jumbo-sized apples weigh up to a pound and a half and can feed eight to 10 people.
