Jesse Jackson promotes Peotone airport to Quinn

Reverend Jesse Jackson and others met with Governor Quinn Friday to urge him to move forward with plans for a third Chicago-area airport.Jackson spoke at a gathering outside the governor's office at the Thompson Center.

Jackson said the airport would bring 15,000 jobs, new tax revenue and a better quality of life to people living in the south suburbs.

Jackson and others at the vigil urged Governor Quinn to meet with members of the Abraham Lincoln National Airport Commission to finalize plans.

Quinn's office said it was productive and pointed out that he has been a supporter of a third airport.
