During the promotion from January 2-9, patrons who extend the complimentary one-week period into a January-March 2011 winter-session membership will receive a complimentary Nike gift, while supplies last. Membership rates to the Chicago Park District's fitness centers are affordable and range from $30-$75 for three months, a fraction of the cost of commercial gyms.
The Chicago Park District currently operates 70 fitness centers featuring state-of-the-art equipment including: computerized treadmills, cross trainers, upright and recumbent bicycles, free weights and benches, cable cross-overs, multi-station weight machines and core-focused weight equipment. Accessible equipment for people with disabilities is available at 35 fitness centers.
The Chicago Park District's facilities also offer a variety of fitness classes at affordable rates such as circuit training, conditioning, kickboxing, Pilates, yoga and aerobics.
