But, skeptics say , it was a small study that measured couples at a single point in time. They say couples can go through phases.
Happiness tends to dip when couples have children. As the children leave the nest some couples have a relationship rebirth.
So this study might really be showing that it's possible to fall in love again than maintain that new love for years and years.
