A study in the Nutrition Journal says it's a myth that eating a large breakfast will help you eat fewer calories later in the day.
German researchers followed nearly 400 people for two weeks. Results showed they ate the same at lunch or dinner regardless of what they had for breakfast. People who had a big breakfast usually consumed about 400 more calories a day.
However ,experts say a sensible breakfast is important for a balanced diet and may also help prevent dieters from eating unhealthy high calorie snacks.
