4 charged in South Side home invasion

January 18, 2011 (CHICAGO)

Ned James, 30, of the 400 block of W. 70th St.; Cortez Moore, 31, of the 4000 block of W. Carroll Ave.; Henry Sistrunk, 40, of Kankakee, Ill.; and Rashawn Coleman, 25, of Minneapolis, Minn., have each been charged with one count of home invasion.

Police say the suspects entered the residence in the 5700-block of South Wentworth Avenue while five people inside the home were sleeping. Some of the offenders restrained several of the residents, police say, while the others ransacked the house.

When police arrived, two of the suspects were immediately taken into custody. The other two suspects tried to escape but were caught.

Police say they recovered a handgun and shotgun, as well as the victims' property.
