Ulthera System is an FDA-approved, non-surgical facelift procedure that uses ultrasound to achieve results. In one, 30 minute to-an-hour treatment, the Ulthera procedure dramatically lifts eyebrows, cheeks, jowl and/or neck areas.

(PRESS RELEASE)

Hinsdale dermatologist, Christina Steil, M.D., recently added the Ulthera System to her practice, making her one of the first dermatologists in the country to offer this latest advancement in non-invasive cosmetic treatments. Ulthera System is an FDA-approved, first-to-market technology that uses ultrasound energy to stimulate cells to produce collagen, resulting in the lifting of skin.

Ulthera may be used to lift eyebrows, cheeks, jowl and neck areas and results may be seen in one 30-minute to an hour session. Minimal discomfort if any is felt during the process and there is no recuperation time. Ulthera System was introduced in the fall of 2009 and the FDA trials have shown results lasting up to 12 months, with expectations that the treatment will provide results far beyond the trial period.

"Bringing the Ulthera System to my practice is another way I strive to reinvest in my patients," said Dr. Christina Steil. "I have practiced cosmetic dermatology for more than 10 years, and I'm constantly researching the latest procedures and products; only the best are brought to my patients. This system has a 75 percent patient satisfaction rate, which is hard to top with cosmetic procedures."

Ulthera System is ideal for women and men ages 35-to 65 who do not have severe sun damage. Patients first undergo a comprehensive consultation process to assess individual desired results. As part of this process, simple tests are conducted to determine if the procedure will create the desired facial aesthetic, such as pulling up of the lateral forehead to see the expected improvement of the excess skin of the upper eyelid. The Ulthera procedure is recommended for patients who seek natural treatments without injections or who want to enhance those treatments and create firmer and tighter skin without investing in a surgical facelift.

"I am passionate about meeting my patients' expectations when it comes to cosmetic procedures, so the consultation process is very important," said Steil. "If a patient has severe sun damage or suffers from facial volume loss, then I might suggest another form of treatment. My patients want results and that's my first priority."

Steil has performed the Ulthera treatment on numerous patients since introducing it and the results have mirrored the pre-clinical studies, yielding, safe, reproducible and clinically significant lift at a fraction of the cost of a surgical facelift.
