Robert "Bobby" Bostic was arrested on first-degree murder charges in the June 25, 1982 murder of Carlton Richmond. Richmond, 31, was shot to death in a Round Lake Beach garage. Investigators say Richmond and Bostic were members of a motorcycle club that used the garage as a clubhouse and the two got into a fight that resulted in the shooting of Richmond.
While many people were at the garage when the shooting occurred, charges were never brought. During a review of so-called cold cases, Round Lake Beach investigators issued an arrest warrant for Bostic. Bostic has waived his extradition and will be transported back to Illinois.
He is being held on $2.5 million.
