When it comes to boosting bone strength for men, extra calcium and vitamin D may not do the job.

However, exercise could boost their bone mineral density.

In the study in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, men who exercised had higher bone density than those who had supplemented their diet with calcium and vitamin D.

Despite the findings, researchers say, people still need to get enough calcium and vitamin D in their diets because it's extremely important for human health.
