Hip-hop artist Eminem is among those expected to perform. He could score his first Album of the Year Grammy at the awards ceremony this coming Sunday for Recovery.
The Foo Fighters, fronted by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, are also expected to be at Lollapalooza.
The Brit band Muse may also turn up on the festival roster, joining Girl Talk and Crystal Castles.
Lollapalooza runs August 5 through 7. The full line-up will be made public in April.
