The cuts were detailed at a news conference Thursday.
Previously, Alvarez said she'd cut 8 percent by laying off about 100 staffers.
The additional cuts may involve eliminating 25 prosecutors, who would come from all departments.
"Obviously it will have an impact because while one whole unit won't be shut down, we have to get those people from somewhere, so that's gonna affect some other units that may have to run an assistant or two short. So yes, it will have an impact," Alvarez said.
The state's attorney will also cut the use of outside lawyers.
