On January 21, Courtney Hughes was on a lunch break from his job at a nursing home.
He was going to get gas at about 2 a.m. at 35th and King Drive when his car was broadsided.
His family says no one even called to report the accident for about half an hour.
At the hospital, they say Hughes was conscious and responsive, but then had surgery and died.
"Now I don't have a father because of that and my brother and sister. Who's going to walk my sister down the aisle, and me?" said the victim's daughter Samantha Thomas.
The police say they are investigating but the family says they have no leads on the identity of hit-and-run driver.
