Man charged in teen's shooting death

February 13, 2011 (CHICAGO)

Shawn Rudolph, 20, is due in bond court Sunday. According to investigators, Rudolph shot into a group of people standing in the 7200-block of South Hermitage in September 2010.

The gunfire hit 15-year-old Andrew Powell in the head. He died the next day.

Police said at the time of the shooting that it may have been sparked by a previous argument between two groups of men. They did not believe Powell was the intended target.

Police arrested Rudolph Friday. The 20-year-old is charged with first-degree murder.
