The production will play at the Rosemont Theatre, 5400 N. River Rd., Rosemont, Ill., from Wednesday, March 16 to Sunday, March 20, 2011 for nine performances.
As a special treat to young Chicagoland fans, King Julien, the king of the lemurs, will visit the Chicago area for two days, Thursday, Feb. 17 and Friday, Feb. 18, to make special appearances at various Chicagoland venues. The popular lemur will teach his famous "I Like to Move It, Move It" dance from the movie, while sharing with kids the importance of staying physical active. He'll incorporate an educational component by sharing fun facts about his fellow animal friends including Gloria the Hippo, Alex the Lion and more.
King Julien will take photos with his young fans and sign autographs. Attendees must bring their own cameras if they'd like commemorative photos. Every child will be provided a pair of free lemur glasses.
