A new study finds that one of eight restaurant workers say at least twice in the past year they have gone to work even though they were ill. The survey covered nine states.
Twelve percent of all workers showed up sick. That's an increase over the 5 percent found in previous studies.
Some employees said they're forced to come in because many restaurants don't have paid sick leave.
The study appears in the Journal of Food Preparation.
