It was for the 14th annual Hustle Up The Hancock fundraiser for the Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago.
Participants could either complete the full 94-flights of stairs or do an abbreviated 52 flight challenge.
There were more than 4,000 climbers overall including ABC7's John Garcia, Ryan Chiaverini and the Hungry Hound Steve Dolinsky.
Hustle Up the Hancock raises about $1 million for local research and educational efforts to support people living with lung diseases such as lung cancer, asthma and COPD.
