The blizzard that struck in early February is the third worst in Chicago history with more than 20 inches of snow.
City budget director Eugene Munin said Friday that the dollar figure covers costs to the city and related agencies for snow removal and other weather-related services from Feb. 1-9.
Munin says the city hopes federal disaster relief money will cover some of those costs.
Of the $37.3 million, $14.5 million was spent at the city's airports and $13.3 million was spent at the Department of Streets and Sanitation. The remainder was spent at agencies like the Chicago Transit Authority, Chicago Public Schools and Chicago Park District.
