Hilton, workers agree to deal ending labor dispute

March 7, 2011 (CHICAGO)

Both sides agreed to a deal which covers 1,600 workers at the Drake, Palmer House Hilton, Chicago Hilton and Hilton O'Hare.

Back in December, union workers held informational picketing outside the Palmer House.

The deal preserves pension and healthcare benefits, includes a wage increase and reduced workloads for housekeeping staff.

The union had been without a contract since August of 2009.
