The Big Easy's PEACH-MANGO BARBECUE SAUCE

The Big Easy is a Hyde Park restaurant specializing in New Orleans foods
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 cups yellow onion, small diced
  • 4 cups hickory BBQ sauce
  • 1 1/2 cup mango puree
  • 1 1/2 cup peach puree
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard

Heat oil in a medium sized saucepot. Sauté onions until translucent. Add the hickory bbq sauce, mango puree, peach puree, brown sugar, salt and dry mustard.

Stir well to combine.

Simmer for 30 minutes, then cool.
