A new report was released Tuesday by the Alzheimer's Association.
Some of the findings show 60 percent of family caregivers and other unpaid caregivers are women.
Some caregivers may become potential secondary patients because of the stress and worry of taking care of an Alzheimer's patient.
Other findings show that nearly two-thirds of all Americans with the disease are women, which may be due to the fact that women tend to live longer than men.
