It happened early at the Columbus Manor Residential Care Home in the 5100-block of West Jackson.
A fire department spokesperson says the fire was set in three different locations.
The sprinkler system kept the flames in check until the fire department arrived.
A woman in her 60s suffered smoke inhalation. A firefighter at the scene told ABC 7 she was found in a room with a burning mattress. She is expected to be okay.
