Spring is the perfect season to make a fresh start by cleaning house but that doesn't mean you have to bring out harmful chemicals.

Bianca Alexander with Conscious Living visited the ABC7 studio to show how you can clean and be green.

Naturally It's Clean line of products by Enzyme Fresh Home
These products use enzymes. They're free of fumes, phosphates, acids and petroleum. How do they work? Enzymes break down all organic matter, including dirt and grime, and eliminate odors instead of masking them like traditional products. And because they have a neutral PH, they are safe for pets and kids, as well as use on natural and hard surfaces not harmed by water, including wood, bamboo, ceramic, tile, even granite, limestone and marble! When you're done cleaning, you can even pour your dirty water down the disposal to eliminate odors and keep the drain clog free.

For the next three weeks, you can stop by any Whole Foods store, and they'll let you swap out your old toxic cleaner for a free bottle of "Naturally It's Clean."

Biokleen Citrus Laundry Liquid
Using the natural cleaning power of citrus, it removes the toughest dirt, grease, stains and odors but rinses clean. It's three times more concentrated than most detergents with a lower cost per use than most natural and traditional detergents. It contains no phosphate, chlorine, ammonia or alcohol, so it's also great for people with allergies. It's safe for the new high-efficiency machines, and also safe enough for cloth diapers, delicate fabrics and hand washables. Also, Biokleen is manufactured using 100 percent green energy.

Karyn's Miracle Tub & Tile Cleaner from Karyn's Fresh Corner
This vegan, non-toxic cleaner is made from all-natural ingredients like sodium, sea salt, citric acid and essential oils. It's perfect for cleaning the sink or even inside the toilet with a scrub brush, and comes in two scents - Peppermint and Eucalyptus/Lemongrass.

All Surfaces
The Ionator HOM
It's an everyday cleaning device and healthy bleach alternative that transforms ordinary tap water into ionized water, a powerful dirt-removing, bacteria-killing agent. This chemical-free product is so clean it doesn't even carry a health-warming label. It's a general-purpose power cleaner that works on soils and stains, dirt, dust, oils, and all surfaces, including windows, mirrors, stainless steel, counter tops, upholstery. On non-porous surfaces it kills 99.0 percent of harmful bacteria including Salmonella, E.Coli, Staph, MRSA and even the H1N1 flu virus. It doesn't require refills or all the extra bottles that end up in our landfills.

How does it work? With an Activeion technology that uses blended-stream water electrolysis and a science called electroporation to activate and convert tap water into ionized water.

Make Your Own
You can make your own all-natural cleaning products with ingredients from your pantry, like baking soda and vinegar, which are great at cutting grease, dirt and eliminating odors.

Be a Conscious Consumer
Read and understand the ingredients on product labels before bringing them into your home. You can research all chemicals listed on labels via the Household Products Database
