Glennita Williams of South Holland received the Prudential Spirit of Community Silver Medallion Award. She has personally collected and sent some 600 pounds of Twinkies and other items over the past four years. She has also led collection drives at McKinley Junior High for veterans at an area VA hospital.
The Silver Medallion Award is given to one high school and one middle school student in each state for outstanding volunteer service.
