The stage was set for the Bach Collegium Japan performance in Valparaiso. More than 30 Japanese musicians are touring with the group.
The musicians say the show goes on with their countrymen and women in their thoughts.
"While I play, of course time to time, [I think] about family or about things but during the course of music, we are in the music," said Hidemi Suzuki.
The performance was scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
