The Huntington County coroner's office says Chester L. Skinner Jr. died Saturday, a day after he was hit by a car while he was 5 to 8 feet into the street in Huntington. The coroner's office says the driver spotted Skinner, but then was briefly distracted and struck the chair.
The collision threw Skinner from the chair and he suffered head injuries. The Journal Gazette reports Skinner was taken by helicopter to a hospital, where he died. The car driver wasn't injured.
