Hundreds of individual athletes and teams woke up early Sunday to race up the stairs at the Presidential Towers in Chicago.

It is for a good cause: The Fight for Air Climb raises money for the American Lung Association, which works to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.

ABC7 is a sponsor of the climb, and one of our own, John Garcia will be among those racing to thetop.

This event is a vertical race to climb 45 floors of one, two, three or all four of the Presidential Towers. After the event, you can check the race results online.
