The Amazon website says it's not just for shopping anymore. It wants to store your personal data including music, photos and videos.

Amazon has launched Amazon Cloud Drive and Amazon Cloud Player.

The Cloud Drive allows users to store music, photos and more on Amazon's servers. You can then access the content from your personal computer.

Amazon Cloud Player lets users play songs uploaded to your computer or a smartphone that runs Google's Android operating software.

There is a fee. Amazon charges $20 for 20 gigabytes of storage on its Cloud Drive. Google and Apple are believed to be working on similar services.
