Gavin DeGraw performed for students at Saint Edmund's Parish School in Oak Park. DeGraw and his band mates also discussed their careers with the children.
"At first I thought I could do other things around music, but it wasn't my path, it wasn't what satiated me. I had a bug to perform for people," DeGraw said.
DeGraw's visit was part of the Labels for Education program that works with the Grammy Foundation to support music education in schools.
