Jonnie Robert Lee Watts, 21, is charged with aggravated fleeing and faces several traffic citations. Officials say a deputy tried to pull Watts over for speeding on Sunday on Millington Road South in far southwest suburban Millington, Ill., which is about 20 miles southwest of Aurora. Police say he was clocked at 78 mph in a 55 mph zone. Instead of stopping, he allegedly took off, reaching speeds of 110 mph. and passing cars in a no passing zone. He also reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign.
Kendall County sheriff's deputies say he was arrested Sunday evening at his home. Watts was hiding in the attic of his detached garage, officials said, and his car was behind a fence.
