Members of the group Action Now also say Chase Bank is failing to maintain vacant properties they own across Chicago. The protesters say the deteriorating buildings are havens for crime and violence.
A spokesman for Chase says the bank is doing its part to help keep homeowners in their homes.
Action Now says the group is working with community organizations to get statewide legislation introduced that would hold banks responsible for their vacant properties.
