Emanuel has said inaugural celebrations will be paid for with private funds - no taxpayer money will be spent.
Besides the swearing-in ceremony on May 16, the committee has also planned a concert at Grant Park for May 14.
Emanuel staffers say some events that have not been announced yet will be free and open to the public.
