Blackberry Syrup Base:
4 cups blackberries
2 cups sugar
2 cups water
In a pot over medium heat, add sugar and water and bring to a simmer until sugar is dissolved. Add blackberries, and cook over a simmer for 15 minutes. Strain, cool and reserve liquid.
1/2 lime, cut in half
1 teaspoon ginger juice (peel ginger, and put through juicer; reserve in the refrigerator)
8 oz. sparkling water
Add ice to glass, pour in 2 oz. blackberry syrup, ginger juice and lime juice from half a lime; then add sparkling water and stir and serve.
