An electronics retailer says it's benefiting from a 28-day waiting period for top video rental services to offer newly-released movies.

Best Buy says the waiting period for Netflix, Redbox and other video rental services has helped increase its DVD sales by as much as 30 percent.

Back in January of 2010, new movies were first available for sale before they can be released by rental services to protect sales of DVDs and Blu-ray discs.
