The Whole Foods in Lincoln Park was extra crowded Saturday for the French Pastry School's fourth annual Amateur Student Cookie Competition.

The contest inspired creativity in participating bakers. Participants had to use high end raisins, vanilla, flour and butter.

Local pastry chefs served as judges. The first place winner was a raisin rugelach, made with a cream cheese and butter-based dough by Carla Cubert.

The winners received prizes from Kitchen Aid.
