Chicago cop admits to lying in report

April 20, 2011 (CHICAGO)

Eric Olsen, 38, was a member of the department's now disgraced Special Operations Section. He admits he falsely stated in a report that he saw a suspect drinking alcohol in front of a tavern and then found cocaine on the man.

Olsen is the third former or current Chicago police officer to plead guilty this week to charges because of wrongdoing in the Special Operations section. Other officers were charged with stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from drug dealers.

SOS was disbanded in 2007 because of the scandal.
