An Ohio teen had a procedure that turned his leg backward and got him back on the baseball field after surviving cancer.

Nearly three years ago, when Dugan Smith was 10, doctors found a tumor on his thigh bone. He endured months of chemotherapy then opted for a rare surgery.

Doctors cut off a portion of Dugan's leg and turned it 180 degrees. It was the only way Dugan could continue playing sports.

Dugan's parents say they had to let their son make his own decision.
