Genetic test may predict lifespan

It measures microscopic DNA sequences on the tips of human chromosomes called telomeres.

The claim is that measuring telomeres can tell how fast your aging and how long you have left to live.

Some experts are already raising doubts about the tests accuracy.

The inventor Maria Blasco heads telomeres research at the Spanish National Cancer Research Center in Madrid. The test is being developed by her private firm and may be available in Britain later this year.
