Should Chicago get a casino?

May 19, 2011 (CHICAGO)

State Representative Lou Lang of Skokie may introduce a bill Thursday that would approve a casino for the city and permit other major gambling expansion.

A similar proposal passed the Senate last year but failed in the House. That measure called for slot machines at horse racing tracks -- as well as 5 new casinos --including one in Chicago.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel is in favor of gaming to increase revenues and keep residents who gamble elsewhere in town.
