Paramedic reunites with little girl he helped save

May 20, 2011 (WOODSTOCK, Ill.)

Back on May 11, Addison paramedic Jay Arnier was fishing on the Fox River when he heard screams coming from the shore. One-year-old Kaitlyn Winoker had wandered off and fell in the water.

Her mother pulled her from the river and Arnier performed CPR. They talked Friday for the first time since the accident.

"I was just telling him that thankfully that he was there and that he saved Kaitlyn's life," said Kaitlyn's mother Trisha Schuler.

"I certainly hope Kaitlyn grows up healthy and strong and does good things," Arnier said.
