Windy City LIVE airs weekdays at 9 a.m.

May 23, 2011 (CHICAGO)

The 60-minute show airs in the spot left open by the end of the "Oprah Winfrey Show," which wrapped up its final season May 25. Click Here to visit WindyCityLIVE.com. On that website you can watch the show streamed LIVE each weekday between 9AM and 10 AM.

Windy City Live blends talk, entertainment, information and good old-fashioned fun into a recipe specifically created for local viewers. Hosts Ryan Chiaverini and Val Warner will dish about what's going on in the city -- whether its politics or parking meters, local festivals, celebrities, Chicago's beloved sports teams or whatever/whoever else is top of mind. Makeovers and surprise audience giveaways will also be part of upcoming programs.

"We hope viewers get in the habit of having their second cup of coffee with Windy City LIVE-- checking out what Ryan and Val are up to in the morning, who'll be dropping by, what Chicagoans are buzzing about and the kind of audience surprises that will be revealed each day," said Emily Barr, president and general manager, ABC 7 Chicago.

"Our co-hosts, Ryan Chiaverini and Val Warner are relatable, fun-loving and smart. They've already forged solid connections to Chicagoans that we believe will only grow stronger as daytime audiences get to know them as a team," said Marlaine Selip, executive producer, Windy City LIVE.

"I am beyond excited to be hosting Windy City Live along side Ryan," Warner said. " My ultimate goal for the show is creating entertaining television. I want to make people laugh, make them smile, keep them informed, tell them things about this great city that they never knew, introduce them to movers and shakers in their towns and ultimately have the viewers walk away from the show saying…"Now that was fun and I HAVE GOT TO SEE them again tomorrow!!!"

"There's nothing like doing a show in front of a live audience and the energy it brings," Ryan Chiaverini said. "We're going to be fun, entertaining, and community oriented. From actors and athletes, to the inspiring difference makers in our community, we want to get Chicagoans off to a great start to their day."

The show will feature a core of contributors, who on alternate days, will be mixing it up with Val and Ryan on set and or providing taped pieces. WCL contributors include WGCI-FM/Kiss FM radio personality Nina Chantele; WLS-AM radio and TV personality Roe Conn; Restaurateur/CEO of Rockit Ranch Productions, Billy Dec; and actor/comedian Mark DeCarlo.

Tom Hebel is the Vice President of Local Programming and Creative Services; Marlaine Selip is the executive producer of Windy City LIVE; Cindy Patrasso is the supervising producer.
