Police need help finding 'Wheaton Bandit'

The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to a serial bank robber.

Police are asking for help in finding the so-called "Wheaton Bandit." Seven banks he is initially accused of robbing were in that western suburb.

He first struck in January 2002 and investigators say he continued robbing banks until December of 2006.

The FBI hopes to track him down before the five-year statute of limitations is reached. Authorities say he must be charged by this December.
