WCL: Joshua's Troop performs on WCL

Joshua's Troop, joshuastroop.com, is the Chicago-based contemporary, gospel youth choir that serves it up in an energetic and explosive way; with mature vocals and strokes of hip-hop and R&B to create a jazzy, gospel sound.

Founded a decade ago, Joshua's Troop (JT) consists of more 80 teenagers and young adults from fourteen and up; energetic youth lifting their voices in song under the leadership of producer Percy Gray Jr.

Though Joshua's Troop has focused its attention on reaching out to peers with an urban blend, the traditions of gospel music have not been forgotten. With its youthful and inspiring approach to songs of praise and worship, JT brings a message of hope and faith to the concert stage.

This exciting group joined Val, Ryan and new Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel on the premiere show to rock the house with their upbeat anthem "Everybody Clap Your Hands."
