Officers Paul Clavijo and Juan Vasquez already face criminal charges. They allegedly picked up the 22-year-old woman in their police vehicle March 30. She had been walking alone near Wrigley Field, crying and upset after drinking and arguing with a friend.
According to the lawsuit, the officers told her she was not allowed to sit in the back seat of their vehicle and would have to sit on Clavijo's lap. The woman says he sexually assaulted her in the vehicle while Vasquez went to buy liquor. She says they then drove to her apartment in Rogers Park where she was assaulted again.
