The officers suffered non-life threatening injuries and are expected to be OK.
They were headed to a crime scene at Madison and Kilbourn Wednesday night where a female robbery suspect was shot in the shoulder by police. Police say the suspect tried to run down officers with her car during her arrest. She was hospitalized.
The woman is a suspect in a robbery in the 5600-block of W. Irving Park. Police say items from the robbery were recovered in her car.
